International Women's Day - An inspirational Video
International Women's Day - An inspirational Video

Share this inspirational video to show the world that we can move the needle in female representation at the highest decision-making levels! #InternationalWomensDay

March is Women's History Month and it's lovely to have a month when women are celebrated. Women have come a long way in terms of workforce participation yet, when it comes to equal pay, the salary gap is still unacceptable. In addition there's still very small percentage of women in decision-making positions.

The Red Shoe Movement coined Red Shoe Tuesday as a simple idea to achieve equal pay and higher representation of women at executive levels faster by reminding people to have conversations about this topic every week. Wearing a red tie or red shoes on Red Shoe Tuesday is a fun way to invite people to talk about the benefits of equal pay and gender parity at the top and explore what women and men can easily do to make it happen quickly.

At the crossroads of fashion and empowerment, Red Shoe Tuesday encourages people to wear red shoes and ties to work on Tuesdays and share pictures of what they are doing in their organizations to empower women by using the #RedShoeTuesday and #RedShoeMov hashtags.

On this video, Mariela Dabbah, founder and CEO of the Red Shoe Movement, and one of the most inspirational women in the world, encourages women to define what they want and join the Red Shoe Movement global community. To participate in Red Shoe Tuesday and adhere to the Red Shoe Movement principles.

Red Shoes Movement Welcome
Red Shoes Movement Welcome

We are the only women empowerment platform born from a movement and sustained by a movement. This is a platform for personal motivation and career engagement. It was born out of the book "Find Your Inner Red Shoes" by Mariela Dabbah and it turned into a global grassroots movement as women felt they could own the idea of success proposed in the book.

At the request of organizations that noticed a substantial attitude change in the women who attended our events, we created a number of turnkey tools. These tools and resources have allowed the Red Shoe Movement to become a sustainable leadership development platform that we could implement, replicate and measure in organizations.

We are redefining the leadership development model because we believe it's broken. It's trainer-dependent and short term. The only way to keep a high level of engagement is for employees to be invested to continue learning and growing.
