Europower 20 Years

Lezzl had the opportuity to design the artwork for the celebration of 20 Years Europower Generators in Nieuwerkerken. Lesley Courtois got in contact with one of the owners, he bought one of her paintings. They start talking and suddenly the idea of this artwork in steal popped up in her mind. Lezzl realy wanted to make one piece together with 3 other artists, because a company also relies on more than one person. She wrote down the concept, asked some other artists for e drawing and made one cube, including all paintings. Some values that are represented are: customer centric, customisation, reliability, flexibility, speed, power, globalisation, energy

School is cool

Lesley Courtois teaching about colors in front of a class of 50 children between 10 & 12 yearls old. First they learned how to mix colors, what colors are, how we see colors,... than they learned to speak with colors, they learned about he meaning of colors in politics, relgions, marketing,... they learned about warm and cold feelings in colors. At the end they made in groups of 10, a big painting. They used everything they learned to explain their piece of art to me. They learned to work together, to talk about feelings and to express them in colors. The result was amazing. I enjoyed it as much as they did.

White Christmas

Early christmas wishes, who understands the meaning of a white christmas? The language of colors? The start of new life, white light, a bundle of all colors in perfect harmony - we can't escape from colors because we already let them in. A way to see, a maner to speak, There's so mutch left to say, but in the end it always comes together. We don't fall into pieces as long as we have colors in life. Distances - Lesley Courtois - Aloft Brussels Schuman

Distances is my first exhibition in Brussels. My paintings and texts cross borders in the distance. I'm dreaming of traveling around the world together with my paintings. With every painting I've sold, it feels as if I turn a page of my diary. My story get's a new destination. That's my only way to let go. Aren't we all traveling in life? Distances describes 'the way of life'. Even close though far away, distance kill the pain. Where could we better start than in Hotel Aloft Brussels Schuman. I get a lot of understanding from visitors. They are experiencing new places and meet new people. Life is always moving.

Robin & Lezzl (Lesley Courtois) hielden een fotografische tentoonstelling op de kermis van SInt-Truiden. Et Alors kreeg dus een staartje. Als blikvanger werden ditmaal 3 spandoeken van 6 vierkante meter ontworpen waarbij de burgemeester, vanop een kermispaard werd achternagezeten door Paparazzi Lezzl (concept en copy) en Robin (fotografie). Deze ludieke reportage, montage werd samengesteld door Professor Valère Stijnen. Met dank aan de verenigde foorreizigers Sint-Truiden!

Concept & project coördination by Lesley Courtois.
Lezzl (Lesley Courtois 28) was promotor for youg photographer Robin Mous, who's 16 years old, multimedia student in Hasselt. Robin decided to take the mayor of Sint-Truiden as subject in the Lezzl project "Sint-Truiden from a different angle" . Lezzl came up with the idea to make a comic strip of the mayor as teaser, to invite people to visit the exhibision. She took notes while Robin was taking pictures. They even got into the bathroom of the mayor. It was a pleasure to work together. It shure was a bright new experience. We also managed to get the attention of the media while doing this. We hope we'll get the opportunity to expose on other exclusive locations. The vernissage took place in a castle of Duras in Belgium. Spectators could taste the verry good wine from Duras in France. The title of the exhibition was "Et alors". The mayor uses this expression verry often. To make it all complete, Lesley Courtois (Lezzl) made a painting of the mayor in her own garden at home. What an experience! Lezzl hopes that this will push Robin to a higher level and she wants to motivate him to go on with taking nice & good pictures. His work comes out of the heart, it's surprising and simple. We didn't manipulate any of the pictures.

Jolan Renson op z'n best tijdens repetities LICHT (Peter Preuveneers)

Voorstelling was twee x uitverkocht in CC De Bogaard op 22 en 23 april.
Andere artiesten konden zeker tippen aan dit niveau: Lezzl, Hilde Vandenbrande, Erik Jamar, La Nuit Qui Danse, Raf Celis - WIJ WILLEN MEER!!!

Jolan Renson- LICHT (Peter Preuveneers)

Tijdens de repetities gaf Jolan Renson reeds het beste van zichzelf. Hetzelfde deden de andere artiesten van het LICHT: Lezzl (Lesley Courtois), La Nuit Qui Danse, Hilde Vandenbrande, Raf Celis en Erik Jamar. Het resultaat mocht er zijn en daarvan getuigden 2 uitverkochte zalen in CC De bogaard op 22 en 23 april. Hier en daar viel zelfs een traantje van ontroering.

Jolan Renson leert ons ( Lesley Courtois - Lezzl, Michelle Briers en Laurence Eraerts, Eveline Libens - La Nuit Qui Danse, Hilde Vandenbrande - zang en cello, Erik Jamaer - fotograaf, Raf Celis-fluitspeler en mensen uit het asielcentrum ) het refrein van themalied "Adem Licht" voor productie Licht in cc de Bogaard op 22 en 23 april 20.15u kaartjes €5 pp vooraf reserveren in CC. Aan de camera mijn nicht Marion, op bezoek uit Bristol en (vrij)willig om even tijd vrij te maken voor mij. Productie van Peter Preuveneers.

Komen en Gaan - Lezzl dichtbundel

Lesley Courtois stelt haar dichtbundel voor bij Cynthia Reekmans in Studio TVL.
De dichtbundel gaat over de liefde en verschijnt tijdens het eindejaar. Per verkochte bundel gaat er €1 naar de straatkindjes in Rio waar deze kunstenares een stukje van zichzelf ontdekt en herwonnen heeft. Het boekje bevat een overzicht van de meest recente kunstwerken, ter illustratie van gedichten uit het verleden. In Rio leerde Lesley echte emoties te tonen. Schaam je niet voor wie je bent. Vandaar dat ze nu zelfs "een stuk uit haar dagboek" schenkt aan het goede doel. Zo voelt het althans. Het is een heel persoonlijk werk.
